Our Story
From a Craigslist Job Post to a Thriving Digital Agency
KD Digital was founded by Karen Duarte, a passionate digital and multicultural marketing strategist with a deep belief in the power of culture to shape connection and conversion online.
Karen’s journey started in Fort Lauderdale, FL, after earning dual degrees in Media Communication Studies and Editing, Writing & Media from Florida State University.
A Craigslist job posting led to her first marketing agency role, where she quickly moved from Social Media Specialist to SEO Content Strategist. But something was missing: culture.
During the pandemic, she made a bold leap — applying to Florida State University’s Integrated Marketing Communication Graduate Program. There, she honed her expertise in Hispanic and multicultural marketing, earning accolades and crafting campaigns for real-world clients.
KD Digital was born.
